Sheila Harper, BA, BEd, one of England’s leading behaviourists and dog trainers is giving a seminar for the first time in France.
Cautious Dogs, Fearful Dogs
Come and learn about Sheila’s “do’s” and “don’ts” of living or working with cautious or fearful dogs and take a more informed view about some of the myths surrounding this subject.
The seminar is designed to get anyone living with and especially dog professionals working with fearful dogs thinking about and discussing the following areas:
- Contributory factors
- Health related aspects including acute and chronic symptoms
- The emotional aspects
- Dogs and owners’ needs
- Confidence building and problem-solving skills in both dogs and people
- Techniques to help; including desensitisation and counter-conditioning
- Prevention and management
- Building relationships
Date: Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st January 2010 at the Maison de la Nature et de la Pêche, Ile de la Jatte, Levallois Perret from 9:45am to 5:15pm.
Cost: 220€.
The seminar will be presented by Sheila in English with a translation into French.
